Granus protects the House of Adamant, one of few sites sacred to the Nocturna. Once he did so as a mere mortal, but a curse of the House reached out and struck down all its guards not pure of heart. Granus was not pure… but he was strong. The curse left him even stronger – both in body and purpose.
