To fight monsters, you must become a monster. This is the creed of Vanato and his hunting lodge, the Wolves of the New Moon. From the shambling horrors they dispatch, Vanato synthesizes "ichor" – a sickly green goo that all his fellow hunters are tattooed with. Not only does it look imposing, but it grants them hulking strength. You need it to lift the gigantic weapons they hunt with.
